Vice President, Public Affairs 

Position Description

We are currently seeking a bright, proactive individual to join our team as a Vice President with our rapidly growing public affairs practice. The person will manage various clients, contribute to thought leadership activities, and participate in business development.  This position is full-time salaried, with benefits and paid holidays. Experience building coalitions, or working to support coalitions’ efforts, for issue campaigns on behalf of clients, is strongly preferred.

We are currently seeking a bright, proactive individual to join our team as a Deputy Director with our rapidly growing public affairs practice.  The person in this role will assist the public affairs team members with a variety of tasks in support of client campaigns and programs.

The Deputy Director should be an excellent strategic thinker, planner, and implementer. They should also be an effective communicator who has experience working in the policy arena on advocacy campaigns to achieve clients’ public affairs priorities. The ideal candidate is interested and committed to working on challenging public policy issues at the federal and state level.

Research Associate

Position Description

FTP is currently seeking a bright, proactive individual to join our team as a Research Associate. The person in this position will be responsible for helping the Senior Director of Research and Policy Analysis and Senior Partners provide timely and accurate information and analysis on matters of importance to our firm’s clients. This individual will assist the Senior Director and the firm’s government relations and public affairs Partners, Senior Vice Presidents, and clients with a diverse array of research, policy, and political projects. Exceptional research, writing, and interpersonal skills are required. Candidates must also have a strong working understanding of how Congress and the federal agencies function.

This position is full-time salaried, with benefits and paid holidays.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree, 1-2 years of public or private sector legislative or policy experience, and a demonstrated ability to conduct qualitative research are required.
