Arthur Sidney is a Senior Vice President at FTP.
He has over 20 years of experience in law and public policy. Most recently, he was the Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA)’s Vice President of Public Policy where he engaged on competition, technology, intellectual property, internet, and telecommunications issues, and represented the association through advocacy before the legislative, executive, and judicial branches. He also led the association’s efforts on recent anti-tech congressional proposals.
Before joining CCIA, Sidney served as Chief of Staff and Chief Counsel and Legislative Director to two senior members of Congress for over 12 years. Previously, he served as an attorney for the Department of Commerce for nearly ten years where he practiced international trade remedies law before the agency, federal courts, and international tribunals.
He has also served as an adjunct professor teaching various subjects at area law schools and universities since 1999. He has taught legal writing, business law, administrative law, and business management, among other courses. Most recently, he joined the faculty of Syracuse University in August 2021.
Sidney received his LL.M. in International Trade from American University, Washington College of Law, obtained his J.D. from Howard University School of Law, and received his B.A. from Vassar College
