Position Description
The Vice President of Marketing and Business Development is a pivotal leadership position driving the firm’s growth and visibility across all practice areas at FTP. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the marketing strategy of a leading government and public affairs advocacy firm. This role is responsible for creating, directing, and implementing FTP’s business development and marketing activities for the firm’s practice areas, including Public Affairs, Government Relations, State Advocacy, and Digital practices. The success of this role will be measured by increased awareness and recognition of the firm’s capabilities in the market, client acquisition across all practice areas, and securing visibility opportunities for the firm and its leadership. Salary for this position ranges from $93,000-$127,000.
Primary responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and business development strategies for the firm.
- Create marketing materials, including capabilities decks and generalized collateral.
- Identify and implement appropriate marketing and communications channels.
- Develop and oversee the firm’s overall marketing and visibility program.
- Generate and produce unique and tailored pitch decks and related campaign materials for individual client pursuits.

Director of Paid Media, Digital, Public Affairs
Position Description
As Director of Paid Media, you will be responsible for leading a team helping to develop digital media strategies and plans to achieve clients’ goals. This is a client-facing role, and the ideal candidate will have experience managing clients’, expectations, and KPIs. You will lead our paid advertising team and manage the content creation process for multiple clients from start to finish. Your creative thinking skills, strategic insight, and collaboration will be essential to your success. Salary for this position ranges from $110,000-$130,000.
Ideal candidates for this role should be creative and innovative, digitally and multimedia savvy, well-organized, and an excellent writer and communicator. Candidates should have a firm grasp of different digital touchpoints, high awareness of media and politics, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
- 4 – 6 years of digital advertising experience at a public affairs or advertising agency.
- Experience managing and leading a team of paid media strategists.
- Experience buying and managing cross-platform digital advertising programs, utilizing various assets including programmatic, social, search, display, video, and mobile.

Creative Director, Digital, Public Affairs
Position Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Creative Director to lead the creative vision for our clients’ advocacy, digital, and communications campaigns. This role will focus on developing innovative and compelling creative materials across a range of mediums, including internal documents, pitch decks, ad creative, video production, websites, logos and branding, and storytelling. The Creative Director will play a key role in shaping how we communicate powerful narratives that drive policy changes and influence public opinion. This position is full-time salaried, with benefits and paid holidays. Salary for this position ranges from $155,000-$175,000.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree. Prior experience of 7+ years in a creative leadership role, preferably within an agency or public affairs environment is helpful.
