WASHINGTON, D.C. – Forbes Tate Partners (FTP) today announced additions to their Public Affairs team, including John DelNegro as a grassroots advocacy senior director and communications expert and Chanse Jones as senior director of public affairs. As FTP continues to expand its advocacy work, DelNegro will focus on the firm’s grassroots outreach practice, while Jones will manage communications for several coalitions and policy initiatives.
DelNegro brings more than two decades of experience in the public affairs arena, where he has led grassroots communications strategy and campaign implementation for firms such as DDC Public Affairs and NextWave Advocacy, LLC. John brings a wealth of public affairs experience, having worked across a broad variety of issue areas, from health care and transportation to immigration and tax reform policy. Before joining FTP, Jones spearheaded communications for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s political program and several policy portfolios, including immigration, labor, and technology. An alum of the U.S. Senate, Jones also served as deputy communications director for U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-NE).
“For over 20 years, John has led successful grassroots and grasstops advocacy campaigns for some of the nation’s biggest corporations and trade associations and is seen as a leader in this space. Additionally, Chanse has a proven track record of shaping campaigns that successfully drive the narrative home for audiences,” said FTP Founding Partner Jeff Forbes. “We are pleased to welcome them both to our team of public affairs experts, where they will play a key role in expanding our grassroots efforts and championing our clients’ legislative priorities.”
“FTP has an amazingly diverse team, and I look forward to adding my experience to such a multi-talented group of professionals,” said DelNegro, a lifelong native of the Washington, D.C. area. “I’m delighted to be joining FTP at this exciting time of expansion to their public affairs and grassroots division.”
“This is an exciting time of growth and opportunity for the firm, and I am proud to be a part of it,” said Jones, a University of Alabama alum. “I look forward to bringing my experience as a strategic communicator to the team and working alongside Washington’s best strategists.”
FTP also welcomed Regan Thompson as a Public Affairs senior analyst to support clients in the healthcare and energy portfolios. Regan previously worked for the Gooden Group, Congresswoman Kendra Horn, and Williams Whittle Advertising. Regan is a graduate of Oklahoma State University. Additionally, FTP hired Gwen Fuller as an analyst on the Public Affairs team. Prior to joining the firm, Gwen worked with The Herald Group, American Petroleum Institute, and Novelis.
