Forbes Tate Partners Bolsters Public Affairs Practice by Adding Seasoned Health Care and Advocacy Experts

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Forbes Tate Partners (FTP) today announced the addition of Cristina Scarpaci and Colleen Elson as senior vice presidents to its public affairs practice, which will bolster the firm’s already strong health care and public affairs advocacy expertise.

Scarpaci brings with her a wealth of corporate, nonprofit, and government communications experience with a focus on health care public affairs, corporate reputation, executive visibility, event and media engagement. Prior to joining FTP, Scarpaci led integrated campaigns at Weber Shandwick and Porter Novelli for pharmaceutical and public and community health initiatives focused on COVID-19, disease education and physician engagement for clients including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Kaiser Permanente and leading pharmaceutical companies.

Elson’s extensive work experience includes issue advocacy and public affairs campaigns at the federal, state, and local level for a range of clients.  Before joining FTP, Elson ran her own boutique public affairs firm, Elevation Advocacy. Elson was the Vice President of Public Affairs at Capitol Direct Messaging, LLC where she managed public affairs campaigns for clients across industry sectors, including AARP and Ford Motor Company.

“Cristina and Colleen have tremendous track records of overseeing large successful, multi-faceted campaigns that demand strong leadership, a deep understanding of policy and strategy, and knowledge of how to execute a wide array of communications tactics,” said FTP Founding Partner Jeff Forbes. “As we head into a historic election year with widespread ramifications on the federal and state levels, we welcome these two experts to our team.”

FTP also added Jocelyn Kuh as a director of public affairs, Elizabeth Monroe as a public affairs analyst, and Ethan Hicks as visual designer. Jocelyn previously worked for Ketchum in the unbranded and branded pharmaceutical industry and is a graduate of University of Florida. Prior to joining FTP, Elizabeth served as a legislative correspondent and press assistant for Congressman Dave Joyce, R-Ohio. Elizabeth is a graduate of Denison University. Ethan has worked with several digital advertising and press agencies in the D.C. area and is a graduate of the University of the District of Columbia.
