Andres Ramirez

Andres Ramirez is a Senior Vice President in FTP’s public affairs practice.

A public relations, advocacy, and multicultural communications professional, he has an extensive legislative and political background having worked on the local, state, and national arena for the past 25 years. Andres has a unique blend of skills after working in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, allowing him the ability to take a comprehensive approach and develop practical solutions to complicated issues. A true lover of politics with a passion for progress, Andres works to improve social issues with no cause too big or too small for him to handle He is sought after for his expertise on political advocacy, community engagement, demographics, health care, Latin America policies, and Latino issues.

Andres began his career in Washington, D.C. working as a legislative aide to former U.S. Senator Harry Reid, and then worked for Nevada Governor Bob Miller in the state’s D.C. office. Andres worked as a legislative affairs specialist with U.S. Strategies Corporation, and later joined numerous political and advocacy campaigns. He served as the senior vice president of the political and advocacy think-tank NDN. In addition, Andres served as the vice chair of the DNC Hispanic Caucus where he was tasked with helping the DNC develop and implement its Hispanic engagement strategy during the 2012 presidential election cycle. Andres has been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, and various other media outlets offering his expertise on politics and current affairs.

Originally from Texas, Andres moved to Washington, D.C. from Las Vegas. When he’s not trying to change the world, Andres spends his spare time with his wife and daughter and their dogs.
