Cristina Scarpaci

Cristina is a Senior Vice President on the Public Affairs team.

Cristina specializes in integrated communications programs for corporate, nonprofit and government clients with a focus in health care. She has experience leading corporate reputation, executive visibility, thought leadership, stakeholder engagement, public health and healthcare public affairs programs for pharmaceutical companies, foundations, advocacy groups, associations, payers and hospitals and health systems.

On behalf of a leading vaccine manufacturer, she recently oversaw media relations to drive uptake of, and appreciation for, additional COVID-19 vaccine options. She also led executive visibility and corporate reputation communications for Biogen neuroscience, Lilly’s Alzheimer’s Disease and oncology business units as well as Novartis’s generics and biosimilars manufacturer, Sandoz.

Previously, with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Cristina oversaw nationwide public health education campaigns, including outbreak communications, digital advertising, partner engagement, public service announcements, social media and physician engagement. For Kaiser Permanente, Cristina developed and led national communications for the organization’s Chief Community Health Officer and guided the development of signature programs addressing housing stability, food insecurity, gun violence prevention, social health and climate change.

Cristina holds a Master of Arts in management with a concentration in marketing from Wake Forest University and a Bachelor of Arts in environmental studies and international relations from the College of William and Mary. She lives in Capitol Hill with her husband and daughter and loves hiking and biking the trails of the DMV.
