Erik is a Partner on the Digital team in the Public Affairs Department.
Prior to joining FTP, Erik was a Managing Partner at Engage responsible for overseeing the company’s strategy, finance, operations, and process development. Additionally, Erik was the Web Director at the Republican Governors Association after running his own firm, Ethos Digital, for six years. In 2012, he co-founded Citizinvestor, a crowdfunding & civic engagement platform for local government projects, leaving a mark on the social impact space. He also sits on the board of advisors for White Coat Waste (a coalition of more than 350,000 Republicans, Democrats, liberty lovers, and animal lovers dedicated to stopping government funding of animal experiments) and Startup Caucus (a startup accelerator focused on political technology).
Erik’s work has been written about in HuffPost, Politico, The Economist, Fast Company, NPR, The Hill, Mashable, and Buzzfeed, amongst others. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to work with political campaigns and organizations at the international, national, and local levels, as well as partner with corporate and non-profit clients ranging from the Liberal Party of Australia to No Labels and from Pfizer to the Smithsonian.
Erik has a Master’s in Business Administration from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s degree in both Government and Music from Connecticut College, where he was active in student government and grassroots organizing. He also played an integral role early on in the local tech and productivity scenes. Erik is a recipient of American Association of Political Consultants 40 Under 40 award, the Phillips Foundation “Future Leaders” award, as well as the Prudential “Spirit of Community” award for his work benefiting autism research. In 2019, Washingtonian magazine added Erik to their list of Tech Titans, the most influential and innovative people in Washington’s digital economy.
Erik lives in Washington with his two children. When he’s not at work you can find him playing music with his band, getting lost outdoors, or exploring new places.
