Barrett is a Partner at FTP and specializes in building public policy campaigns for life sciences corporations launching new products or service lines.
Drawing on 20 years of experience in health policy and market access, he advocates on legislative issues before the U.S. Congress, regulatory matters the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Food and Drug Administration and other agencies as well as state Governor offices. Barrett’s work has ranged from arenas of chronic and infectious diseases to oncology, innovative diagnostics and medical devices, niche and orphan therapeutics, as well as value-based business models and commercial market management. He started his career on Capitol Hill, serving as a Healthcare Legislative Assistant for U.S. Senator Mike Crapo, Patrick Toomey and the late Rep. Charlie Norwood.
Barrett received his B.A. from Dartmouth College and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. He is a licensed attorney and lives in McLean, Virginia.
