John Buscher Joins Forbes-Tate

Firm Continues to Expand with Focus on Moderate Members

WASHINGTON, DC – Forbes-Tate Founding Partners Jeff Forbes and Dan Tate announced today that they have hired John Buscher as senior vice president.  John comes to the firm with more than 20 years of experience on Capitol Hill and in the private sector.

John spent the last nine years as a senior policy advisor at Holland & Knight.  He worked with a variety of Fortune 400 companies including UPS, United Airlines, Praxair and The Hartford, among others.  John has also represented associations, universities, hospitals, state and local governments and non-profits.  Before joining Holland & Knight, John was the director of governmental affairs for United Airlines.  He also spent more than four years on Capitol Hill with Illinois Senators Alan J. Dixon and Carol Moseley-Braun.

John will add tremendous value to Forbes-Tate’s growing practice areas. He joins the firm at an exciting time: Forbes-Tate launched as a new organization in July when long-time lobbyist and Democratic strategist Dan Tate joined forces with Jeff Forbes and his firm Cauthen, Forbes & Williams.

“John is a heavy-hitter: he has tremendous skill and lobbying savvy and knows how to deliver for clients. We are absolutely thrilled he is joining us,” Forbes said.

Tate said, “John is a perfect fit for this firm and this builds nicely on the momentum we picked up when we launched Forbes-Tate a few months ago. We’re getting an exceptionally strong new colleague and our clients are getting another strong advocate for their interests.”

“I can’t tell you how excited I am to join Jeff, Dan and the rest of the team at Forbes-Tate.  This is a first class operation and a true leader in government affairs in Washington, D.C.,” said Buscher.

In addition to co-founders Forbes and Tate, Buscher joins seven other government and public affairs specialists at the firm including George Cooper, Jay Driscoll, Libby Greer, Buck Humphrey, Rachel Miller, Ryan Welch and Zach Williams. The Forbes-Tate team works together on issue areas including tax, trade, healthcare, communications, appropriations, energy and natural resources.
