Forbes Tate Partners Adds Former Boehner Political Chief Kevin McGrann

WASHINGTON – Forbes Tate Partners (FTP) today announced the addition of Kevin McGrann as Senior Vice President where he will bring his expertise to bear in both the firm’s Public Affairs and Government Relations practices. McGrann’s deep roots on Capitol Hill and familiarity with telecom policy will also support FTP’s expanding telecom practice and political reach.

“Kevin has been a key player in Washington for more than a decade, delivering wins on the campaign trail and in the boardroom,” said FTP Founding Partner Jeff Forbes. “He has earned respect on both sides of the aisle for his policy acumen and his tireless advocacy. The current dynamic in Washington – a new administration and a closely divided Congress – demands that we be able to effectively reach both sides of the aisle and, just as importantly, understand the policy and political drivers impacting decision-making by leadership and rank-and-file members. Kevin’s addition to our team advances our ability to do just that.”

Prior to joining FTP, Kevin McGrann served as Assistant Vice President for Federal Relations for AT&T, managing relationships with members of Congress and ensuring the company’s legislative priorities were well-represented in Congress. He began his career in Speaker John Boehner’s office, serving as political aide, political director, and eventually executive director for the Speaker’s political office. In his role as executive director, he led the team to raise over $265 million to elect a historic number of Republicans to the U.S. House of Representatives.

“Kevin has campaigned in more than 125 congressional districts with former Speaker Boehner, and along the way developed an extensive political network on both Capitol Hill and across the country,” said FTP Managing Partner Jeff Strunk. “This unique experience – combined with his wealth of knowledge of the legislative landscape – will help FTP continue to deliver high-quality results for our clients.”

“Forbes Tate Partners is on the cutting edge of public affairs and lobbying firms in the Beltway,” McGrann said. “The firm is making tremendous investments in insights, digital capabilities, and expanding the government relations team’s policy reach. It is an exciting time to join FTP, and I look forward to putting my experience to work to deliver wins for our clients.”

A native Washingtonian, Kevin remains active in his community as a member of the Board of Governors for the National Republican Club of Capitol Hill, and board member for the NRCC 218 Club. Kevin is a graduate of the Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph’s University where he played Division 1 men’s lacrosse.
