Kelley Williams

Kelley Williams is a Partner at FTP.

She handles a diverse portfolio of issues, but her specialty is within the financial services, insurance, and banking spheres. She also lobbies on transportation, telecom, fintech, and energy issues for the firm’s clients. In her 15 years as a senior government relations professional, she has successfully demonstrated an ability to craft and implement complex legislative strategies for her clients while also leveraging relationships and resources across multiple sectors.

Previously, Kelley was an Associate Vice President of Legislative Affairs at the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). In this position, she served as MBA’s lead Democratic lobbyist for the House of Representatives. She lobbied on real estate investment trust issues, GSE reform legislation, flood insurance, High Volatility Commercial Real Estate loans, and regulatory relief.

Before her position at MBA, she was a Director of Government Affairs at The Hartford where she lobbied on insurance issues for the company. Prior to that, she worked for the American Land Title Association, where she split her duties between direct lobbying and managing the operations of the association’s political action committee.

Williams received a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Political Science from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. She lives in Washington, DC with her husband.
