Forbes Tate Partners Adds Veteran Communications Strategist Christy Moran to Public Affairs Team

WASHINGTON – Forbes Tate Partners (FTP) announced today that Christy Moran, a veteran strategic communications specialist, is joining the Public Affairs team as a senior vice president. At FTP, she will manage some of the firm’s growing coalitions and strategic communications work.

Prior to joining FTP, Christy was a strategic consultant to coalitions, trade associations, and NGO’s leading their work towards improving food, climate, housing, and energy policy. Christy was the head of communications for the NFL Players Association marketing and licensing subsidiary NFL Players, where she was the head spokesperson leading publicity efforts on corporate initiatives.

“Christy has an exceptional understanding of the need to establish the right message for the right audience,” said FTP Founding Partner Jeff Forbes. “Her years of experience and success in positioning clients at the front of national, state, and local media narratives will help advance our clients’ goals.”

Throughout her career, Moran has held senior positions at communications firms including Qorvis Communications, where she led public relations initiatives, communications programs, media relations, and crisis management for clients. During her time at Weber Meritt as principal and strategic consultant, she led integrated public affairs campaigns in addition to contributing to the business growth of the firm. With more than 20 years of experience in strategic communications, Moran is known for cultivating relationships, engaging stakeholders to drive advocacy, shape public opinion, and build brands.

FTP has also hired Jacob Scher as an analyst on the Public Affairs team. Jacob was an intern for the FTP Public Affairs team in the fall of 2020. Prior to joining the firm, Scher completed internships for Congressman Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.) and Mehlman Castagnetti Rosen & Thomas. Scher graduated from Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pa.
