FORBES TATE PARTNERS ADDS TWO OBAMA ADMINISTRATION ALUMS

FTP Adds Additional Democratic Health Care Experience With Hire of Dioguardi and Martin

WASHINGTON – Forbes Tate Partners (FTP) today announced the addition of Paul Dioguardi as a Senior Vice President and Nick Martin as a Director to its strategic communications and public affairs team. Dioguardi and Martin join FTP as the firm continues to grow, bringing with them a deep understanding of the health care policy debate and expertise from their time at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

In his role as Senior Vice President, Dioguardi will create inventive strategies for health care and other advocacy campaigns. Dioguardi served in the previous administration as the Director of the Office of Intergovernmental and External Affairs at HHS where he provided strategic counsel to two secretaries, White House staff, and state and local elected officials. He also led the Department’s engagement with state governments and other national stakeholders on the development and implementation of the major components of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and other administration health care priorities. Following his six years at HHS under President Obama, Paul ran a health care advocacy consulting firm.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of the exceptional team at Forbes Tate Partners,” said Dioguardi. “FTP is known not only for winning results but its well-developed, insightful strategies. I look forward to contributing to such influential and innovative advocacy.”

As a Director, Martin will manage strategic communications and public affairs campaigns across the country. Before joining FTP, Martin also served in the previous administration in the Office of Intergovernmental and External Affairs at HHS, where he focused on implementation of the ACA and the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) of 2015. Working with a variety of different stakeholder groups, Martin advised the Secretary and senior officials on the priorities of industry and advocacy organizations before the department, and developed engagement strategies around open enrollment, delivery system reform, and public health crises. Following his time at HHS, he was the Communications and Outreach Director at The Coalition to Transform Advanced Care (C-TAC).

“We’re continually excited to have such a fast-growing, dynamic team and even more excited that Paul and Nick have joined,” said Founding Partner Jeff Forbes. “Their insight into America’s health care system and experience working on many of the issues debated today is sure to benefit our clients both inside and outside of the health care space.”
