FORBES TATE PARTNERS EXPANDS STATE GOVERNMENT RELATIONS AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS PRACTICE

Steven Palmer Joins FTP as Partner, Helping To Lead FTP’s State Practice

WASHINGTON – Forbes Tate Partners (FTP) today announced the addition of Steven Palmer as a Partner in its state and local government and public affairs practice. Palmer joins Forbes Tate Partners as the firm’s public affairs practice continues to expand rapidly, bringing with him over two decades of experience in state and local government affairs work for clients across multiple sectors.

In his new role, Palmer will join Peter O’Keefe as co-leaders of the firm’s state and local practice by leveraging their extensive relationships in statehouses in all fifty states. In addition to his experience, Palmer brings a blue-chip list of clients to FTP and greatly expands our reach with leaders in states across the country. Palmer’s strong relationship with our nation’s governors, some of whom now serve in the Trump Administration, is particularly impactful and will facilitate the delivery of winning results for our clients.

“More and more, policy is driven outside the Beltway, which is why our growth both on the public affairs side, building strategic communications and grassroots campaigns, and in our state and local practice has been such a focus, allowing us to provide comprehensive, full-scale lobbying and public affairs strategies to our clients, better positioning them to succeed,” said FTP Founding Partner Jeff Forbes. “Steve brings decades of experience executing statewide campaigns across the country, and his statehouse-based relationships significantly expand our firm’s reach. We’re thrilled to have him, as are our clients.”

Palmer comes to FTP from Grayling/Dutko Worldwide where he served as Managing Director and National Director of the company’s state and local government affairs practice. Prior to Grayling/Dutko, Palmer spent over eighteen years in various government affairs and public affairs roles in the private sector. No matter his role or his employer, Palmer has always been driven by one simple principle: Outworking the opponent results in big wins.

“FTP’s reputation in the industry is top notch, bar none,” said Palmer. “I’m excited to join such a high-caliber firm and immediately start contributing to their unique, impactful public affairs campaigns and legislative advocacy.”

Palmer started his career on Capitol Hill as a budget associate to Representative John Kasich (R-OH) and a legislative assistant to Representative Wayne Allard (R-CO).

A native Coloradan, Palmer attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO. He and his family reside in Evergreen, Colorado.
